Paint the background of garden scene watercolor painting
First of all, soak your flat brush with some clean water, use your brush to disperse that water evenly all over your watercolor paper, because you’ll be coming in next with the wet-on-wet technique.
Paint the foreground of your painting
Next, wash your brush and dilute a little Naples yellow and greenish-yellow, apply it to the bottom half of the painting, and work downward until the color flows evenly. You then apply Verditer Blue over this mixture and let it blend naturally and the green color is the result of this process.
Draw the trunk and braches of the tree
Mix some Bright Violet and lilac with a bit of Davy’s grey, adding these colors will create a light-dark violet, and you will use this mixture to paint the tree trunk.
Mix the colors to create the leaves
At this stage, we start drawing the foliage. First apply a mixture of Naples yellow and Greenish yellow, while the mixture is still wet add some Verditer Blue, and Davy’s Gray. When blue and yellow come together, they blend to create a slighly, loose green, which is suggested as the shade of the leaves.
